In order to work in Canada as a foreign national, the applicants and the employer has to clear the two-step process of submitting the application. Firstly, the employer has filed an application to ESDC for labour market impact assesment ; which is then followed up by the applicant by submitting an application to the citizenship and immigration canada for getting the actual authority and right to work in canada . The ESDC issues ; LMIA to the employer after keeping the note of various labour market scenarios if positive ; thereby making the employer eligible to hire the foreign national.
The working of ESDC is for TEN business days only for certain LMIA applications. This working is available for the clearing of vacancy of such jobs which are in high- demand and only require less time period of work permit.
